2K Games has released a new trailer for its upcoming tactical third person shooter, The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. The trailer gives us a look at the story of the game. It has been made to look like videos pulled from some top-secret government servers with a lot of the details, such as the names of people and events, having been redacted. Check out the trailer:

The game will tell us all about the origin of the XCOM organisation. It is set in 1962 in the midst of the Cold War. The story revolves around an organisation called the Bureau that was created to deal with the Soviet Union and then turned into a group that would take on the alien threat. The protagonist is special agent William Carter, who, much like the Men In Black, fights against an alien invasion and has to keep the common populace in the dark.

The Bureau: XCOM Declassified will be hitting store shelves on August 23; it will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

The game seems to be cover-based

Looks like a top-secret conspiracy theory with aliens

The game has been in development for ages and was announced even before the Firaxis strategy game XCOM: Enemy Unknown was unveiled. It was originally going to be an FPS, but that idea seems to have been scrapped in favour of a third-person squad-based shooter.

Reports from all over the web state that the game isn’t a typical run-and-gun third-person cover-based shooter. Instead, it takes a more tactical approach to the gameplay, with many stating that the gameplay is reminiscent of 2004’s squad-based tactical game Full Spectrum Warrior.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
