The Android 7.0 Nougat update starts rolling out to the Moto G4 and G4 Plus

The Motorola Moto G4 and G4 Plus have started receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update. The update includes all the expected Nougat features—this includes multi-window modes and Doze—as well as a couple of new MotoActions for “shrinking” the screen and tapping the finger print sensor to lock the screen. The complete patch notes can be found here. The two devices were released in May this year and support dial-SIMs. Both devices feature a 5.5-inch Full HD display, rock a Snapdragon 617 and come with at least 16GB of storage and 2GB of RAM. Both devices house a 3,000 mAh battery. The Moto G4 is only available in 16/32GB internal storage variants with 2GB of RAM. The Moto G4 Plus is available in a 16GB/2GB, 32GB/3GB or 64GB/4GB storage/RAM configurations. The internal memory on both phones can be expanded by up to 256GB via a microSD card. The Moto G4 features a 13MP f/2.0 rear camera while the Moto G4 Plus features a 16MP f/2.0 rear camera. Both phones feature a 5MP f/2.2 front camera. The Moto G4 Plus is the only device of the two with a fingerprint sensor.
