Stop the press, Test Drive Unlimited, Atari’s MMORacer is going to retail for 39.99 USD (nearly Rs. 1800), nearly half the price at what most 360 titles are sold nowadays. In fact this price is 10$ cheaper than previous generation titles as well. Why are they pricing their game so cheap you say? Well, here’s what Atari’s CEO, Bruno Bonnell had to say, “Innovation should be available to everyone, not a privilege for those who can afford high price tags.”
Not that I have a problem with this, but it seems Atari are pinning all ther hopes on this game as they haven’t had a very successful financial run for quite a while now as a result of which the developer sold off their Driv3r francshie to Ubisoft last week. Either way, this is definitely a motivating factor for those looking to pick this game up.
