Even though it’s not been officially announced we get word via Gamespot that developer Techland is working on a prequel to their first person Western themed shooter, Call of Juarez for the PC, PS3 and the Xbox 360. The game may not have performed phenomenally as far as sales are concerned but it was an enjoyable game nevertheless so I’m definitely looking forward to it.
And here’s a slight snippet about the game straight from Gamespot themselves:
Unlike the first game, which was set in the Civil War-ravaged South, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood will take place before the Confederacy decided to break away from the Union in 1861. It will also switch locales, leaving behind the wooded hills of Georgia in exchange for the harsher terrain of Mexico. Other than the news that the game’s story would be “full of greed, lust, and lawlessness,” no other details were available.
We’ll keep you updated as and when the game officially gets announced. Oh and if the name Call of Juarez doesn’t ring a bell, head over to our PC and our Xbox 360 review for some enlightenment.
