Tech2.0 Set to Rock TechFest 2008!

Tech2.0 is the official online media partner at IIT Bombay’s TechFest 2008. The Tech2.0 kiosk will be buzzing with activity during the three days of the festival (January 25-27).

Attendees can visit the kiosk and have a crack at Guitar Hero for the PS3, or loosen their muscles with the Nintendo Wii. Also on display, for the first time in India, will be three ultra-low-cost laptops side by side for visitors to get their hands on.

Having established itself as Asia’s largest international science and technology festival in the last few years, TechFest is a confluence of students, academia, and the industry. With an expected footfall of over 30,000 students, Techfest 2008 promises to be bigger and better.

This year’s events have been classified into Competitions, Lecture Series, Workshops, Exhibitions, Ozone, and Technoholix. From tech talks to fun events to workshops, there’s something for everybody. Highlights include SciTech, an intercollegiate quiz challenge; and Jack of All Trades, which (as the name suggests) requires mastery of all genres of technology.

Other attractions include a display of BMW 7 Series and X5 cars, aeromodels, and performances by special troupes from Switzerland, Israel and USA will at the open-air theater. The grand finale for Techfest will be provided by Laser Floyd. For further information, please visit www.techfest.org.
