Tata Docomo and HTC launch the One Dual SIM+ in India for Rs 53,590

HTC has officially pulled the covers off the One Dual SIM+, which is a dual-SIM variant of its flagship HTC One, in the Indian market. HTC has teamed up Tata Docomo and is selling the smartphone for a hefty price of Rs 53,590.

The HTC One Dual SIM+ comes with support for both CDMA and GSM. In fact, it is also said to be the first from HTC to support UMTS/ HSPA/ 3G connectivity as well as high speed data on CDMA via EVDO. So this smartphone is basically the HTC One with two differences: the CDMA support and the microSD card slot which can take in cards up to 64GB in size.

Besides these changes, what you will get is the exact same HTC One that has earned great reviews across the board ( See our review). The One has a class-leading 4.7-inch Super LCD 3 with an unprecedented pixel density of 468ppi. This is the smallest full HD display and is supposed to have great colour reproduction and viewing angles. The One is no slouch as it’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 SoC, with the quad-core CPU clocked at 1.7GHz and there’s 2GB of RAM on board as well.

Then there’s the much-talked-about HTC UltraPixel camera with OIS and premium software features and a 2.1-megapixel front camera. The One sports stereo BoomSound speakers on the front and has Beats Audio integration. The dual-SIM CDMA version also comes with 32GB of internal storage and has a 2,300 mAh battery.

HTC has chosen to not go with stock Android and its Sense 5 user interfacee with a specialized homescreen, Blinkfeed, is a new way to get your news and updates. Tata Docomo customers are eligible for special offers in both CDMA and GSM categories when buying the new HTC One.
