The Swipe Elite Note has been launched at Rs 7,999 as a Flipkart exclusive. The device runs Freedom OS (built upon Android 5.0) and the hardware seems to be quite commendable for the price. The device specifications are as follows:
- Dual-SIM: LTE + GSM
- Display: 5.5-inch IPS LCD at 1280 x 720 (267ppi)
- Chipset: 1.3GHz MediaTek 6753, 3GB RAM
- Camera: 13MP f/2.0 rear, 5MP f/2.8 wide angle
- Storage: 16GB, microSD up to 32GB
- Connectivity: 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0
- Battery: 3,000mAh
- Weight: 194g
Interestingly, the device features an IR blaster, which can be used to control devices such as your television, set-top-box, etc. The screen is also interesting in that it’s protected by Dragontrail Glass rather than Gorilla Glass. Made by Japan’s Asahi Glass company, Dragontrail is said to be a worthy rival to Corning’s Gorilla Glass. The front glass is supposed to be of the 2.5D curved variety. The screen is claimed to support Vi-Di technology that’s been designed to improve colour, brightness and viewing angles. In terms of design, the Swipe Elite Note uses a candy bar form factor. The body is made from magnesium alloy and is claimed to be just 8.4mm thick. The device is available on Flipkart for Rs 7,999 right now and will be bundled with a “Premium Sandstone Back Cover with Matte Gold Frame.”
