After swimming through the wave of recent horror games like Alone in the Dark, Dead Space, Silent Hill: Homecoming and the preview code of Resident Evil 5, I couldn’t help but feel a sharp pain in my heart to see one of my favorite genres - Survival Horror - become a dying breed. Then I came across an article by Destructoid’s Jim Sterling, about how the genre “evolved itself into extinction” and I couldn’t agree more.
