It’s no secret that the PlayStation Network has been down for nearly six days now. Gamers are frustrated beyond belief as they can’t play multiplayer portions of any of the games released last week from Portal 2 to Mortal Kombat to SOCOM 4. The inFamous 2 beta is also affected by this downtime as this is the MP beta we’re talking about here where players could create their very own missions (a la LittleBigPlanet) and upload them online.

Thankfully, developer Sucker Punch are a bunch of accommodating dudes and so they’ve announced, via Twitter that they would be extending the beta due to this outage. Here’s the official tweet, “We’ve decided to extend the beta. Once PSN is back up we’ll determine by how long, but rest assured: your outcry has been heard.”
Unfortunately there’s no word from Sony as to when PSN would be functional again so it looks like everyone’s going to have to forcefully play the waiting game. And I hate that game.
Thanks to MMOFG for the heads up.
Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
