Subscribers on the ErosNow app will be able to watch movies offline

Eros, among the leading companies in the Indian film industry, has announced that its ErosNow will allow users to watch movies offline on Android.


Eros, among the leading companies in the Indian film industry, has announced that its ErosNow will allow users to watch movies offline on their Android devices.

ErosNow is an app by Eros International Plc and allows subscribers to watch movies on their device. In India, subscription services cost as little as Rs 99 per month. Subscribers will be given the option to download and watch movies at a later date, even if they don’t have an active internet connection at the time. This is the same model that YouTube uses for their YouTube Offline service.

User will be given control over their downloads and they can choose to only download over Wi-Fi, the quality of the download and also manage their storage. Background download is also supported.

The service is currently rolling out to Android users, but support for iOS devices will follow shortly.

Speaking of the service, Rishika Lulla Singh, CEO, Eros Digital said, “As consumers lifestyles evolve, they are constantly looking to access and consume entertainment on-the-go.” She adds that they want to give users the power to enjoy Eros’ “extensive” catalogue of movies at their leisure.

The Watch Offline feature will be available globally to all subscribers.
