Students Hack Into Prof's Account, Change Grades

Two students of California State University have been arrested for hacking into their professor’s computer to change their grades. The two girls who face upto a year in prison probably did it just for kicks, as they were also found to have sent a shipment of blank CDs, pizza, and magazine subscriptions to the professor’s home through her account. The two students not only changed their own grades from a D-plus to an A in the professor’s political institutions course, but also those of 300 other university students. Moreover, the professor’s university emails were also forwarded to the hackers’ accounts. One of the girls has confessed to getting access to the professor’s account by answering a routine security question and changing the password and that they did this on behalf of all students because they felt the professor was unfair. 20-year-old Lena Chen and 19-year-old Jennifer Ngan are now faced with charges of illegally accessing an account and on misdemeanor charges, scheduled to be heard in court on August 21.
