In keeping with the tradition of re-releasing older games in HD, Ubisoft have officially announced the Splinter Cell HD trilogy pack exclusively for the PS3. It’ll come bundled with the first three Splinter Cell games – Splinter Cell, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow and my personal favorite, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. The Splinter Cell pack will be available via the PlayStation Network as well as Blu Ray disc by the 22nd of March 2011.

Old school Sam Fisher FTW
Ubisoft recently released the Prince of Persia collection in HD as well, but the reviews weren’t all that encouraging. Even though players were thrilled at the chance to replay the Sands of Time, Warrior Within and the Two Thrones, it seemed Ubisoft really dropped the ball as far as visuals are concerned. Not only did the game look sub-par, it seemed all the cut-scenes were still in standard definition.
Here’s hoping Ubisoft have learnt from their mistakes.
Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
