Spec Ops: The Line Delayed

Dubai is a bitching tourist destination but it’s also home to developer Yager’s upcoming third person action game, Spec Ops: The Line. And no, you won’t be visiting malls in this game; you will in fact be running around for your life as Dubai has been subject to some pretty devastating sandstorms that have transformed this Arabian paradise into a ravaged battlefield.

Sounds interesting right? Yeah well here’s the bad part now. Publisher Take-Two today pushed the game back to their fiscal year 2013 which could be anything between April and September 2012. This probably had something to do with the fact that both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 release toward the end of the year.

In the meantime, check out this gameplay video from last year’s E3.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
