Google has released a new app called Spaces which will let you share web URLs, videos, search results, stickers, media from your phone, or text posts. This is enabled thanks to Google Search, Chrome and YouTube coming baked into the app itself. This is not a chat app, but an app specifically meant to assist in group sharing and having conversations around what you’ve shared.
You can create new spaces and share content within that space, and this content will be accompanied with a conversational view where you can converse with the people you have shared that space with. Searching for content is also easier thanks to a tabbed separation of content along with a search bar atop it.
You can create different spaces based on different topics and invite only people you want to share that space with. So for instance, you could create a group for work related sharing or a space to discuss TV shows with friends and so on. While the Spaces link is sharable across multiple platforms, you will require a Google ID to login to access a Space. Spaces
is rolling out today on Android, iOS, desktop, and mobile web for all Gmail accounts.
