Sony has revealed the next bunch of games that will be part of the Instant Game Collection for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Headlining the PlayStation 3 side of things will be open-world tropical shoot-fest Far Cry 3. PlayStation Vita’s headlining act will be performed by 2D fighting game Street Fighter X Tekken. All of these games will be available from September 25.

Other games that PlayStation 3 gamers will get access to as part of the Instant Game Collection will be platformer Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams and open-world RPG Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. Vita gamers are getting the latest in the oddly Japanese Katamari franchise, Touch My Katamari.

Far Cry 3 was released last year to critical acclaim. It puts players in the shoes of Jason Brody, a young man stranded on the lawless tropical paradise of Rook Island, which is ruled by piracy. Check out our review .

Stealth is just as viable as run-and-gun

Far Cry 3 will be free for PS Plus subscribers on September 25

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams is the successor to the 1987 Commodore 64 title The Great Giana Sisters. You play Giana, who enters the dark and dangerous Dream World to rescue her sister, who has been abducted by a giant dragon.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen lets you play the epic RPG along with all of the new content that was added in the Dark Arisen expansion pack. There are new quests on the cursed island of Bitterblack Isle, along with new enemies and treasure.

Street Fighter X Tekken is a mash-up of Street Fighter and Tekken characters in a fighting game with the mechanics typically associated with the former. It is a tag-team styled game, letting you pull off long and painful combos by constantly tagging your teammates in.

Touch My Katamari has you roll up a Katamari and collect as many objects as you can in the world with a time limit. As your Katamari gets bigger, you’ll be able to collect bigger objects, such as houses, whales and even stadiums.

Leaving PS Plus on September 25 are Assassin’s Creed 3, Saints Row The Third, Payday: The Heist, Urban Trials and New Little Kings Story.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
