Sony has announced that its gaming service PlayStation Now will be accessible on PlayStation Vita along with the PlayStation TV. The company has also added five new titles to the PlayStation Now which include God of War III, Dynasty Warriors 8, MX vs. ATV Supercross, Bomberman Ultra and The Last Guy, taking the number past 125 titles.
James Martin, Director of Marketing, PS Now stated on the PlayStation Blog , “We’ve also expanded the list of PS Now enabled devices to include many of the latest models of 2015 Sony TVs.” The lost of supported devices include PS4, PS3, PS Vita, PS TV, Sony TVs and Blu-ray players, and Samsung Smart TVs. The company also points out to the 7-day free trial for the service for new users. Users in the US can pay $19.99 for a month’s worth of access to Sony’s PlayStation 3 (PS3) back catalogue. If you wish to sign up for more, $44.99 offers you three months of access to the PS3 library. According to a previous report , Sony had launched the PlayStation Vue online TV service at $50/month. The Web and cloud-based television service, which allows users to access live TV and on-demand video, has been in test mode since November. Sony joins several new competitors in online video services with one of the largest packages of channels. Sony’s service will have more than 85 channels, including programming from three major networks, CBS, Fox and NBC Universal in addition to media companies Discovery Communications , Scripps Networks Interactive, Turner Broadcasting and Viacom. The $50-per-month starter package offers over 50 channels.
