Sony Xperia Z5 now available in a pink colour variant

Sony Xperia Z5 variants which were available in black, green, chrome and white colours will now also be available in pink. The device will be available starting February, and no details regarding price have been revealed. According to a company blogpost , “The new variant uses the same frosted glass finish as the existing phones and combines this with a light dusky pink colour palette designed to provide a natural complement to the existing green, white and black options. We knew we wanted to add pink to the Z5 series from our very first moodboards and sketches as it seemed to compliment the colour palette to the rest of the range.” “But to get the tone right with the frosted glass and aluminium frame did take some time. We researched many places in which the most beautiful shades of pink can be found, from nature and Japan’s own Sakura cherry blossom right through to the colours in the sky during a beautiful sunset. We wanted the colour to appear strong and modern, and here the material is playing an important role. I feel what we have achieved with the light dusky pink is fresh, contemporary and modern in the Z5 materials,” it further adds. In terms of specifications, the Xperia Z5 comes with a 5.2-inch full HD Triluminos display with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution sporting the same design as its predecessor – the Xperia Z3+. The phone features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor along with Adreno 430GPU and 3GB RAM. On the camera front, one will find a 1/2.3 23MP Exmor RS for mobile sensor, Hybrid AF 0.03 sec, 5 x Clear Image Zoom, ISO 12800 Photo/3200 Video, SteadyShot with Intelligent Active Mode and 4K video recording. The device runs Google Android 5.1 (Lollipop) and includes 32GB of on-board storage and can be further expanded up to 200GB. An interesting feature is the power button on the Xperia Z5, which also functions as a fingerprint sensor. A 2900mAh battery completes the package.
