Sony reveals specifications of second tablet – Sony Tablet P

A few days back we reported that Sony had revealed a few specifications of their upcoming tablet, the Sony Tablet S formerly codenamed - the S1. Apart from the specifications, a tentative release date was also thrown in the mix; which in all likelihood is in September. According to an exclusive report by Engadget, the word going around is that Sony plans to launch their second tablet the Sony Tablet P alongside the Sony Tablet S. The second tablet had been codenamed the S2, but now the real name of the tablet has now been revealed.

The 5.5-inch Sony Tablet P

This tablet like the first will be running on Android 3.1 and will feature a clamshell design. Like the Sony Tablet S, this 5.5-inch tablet will have NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processors and 0.3 megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options of this tablet include 4G and Wi-Fi. The Tablet P weighs in at 370g, making it one really light slate. Apart from this, it is said that it will feature 512MB of RAM and 4GB of in-built memory. A 2GB SD card will also be bundled up with this tablet for extra storage space.
