Sony has launched its new MDR-XB650BT headphones with ’extra bass’ at Rs 7,990.
The headphone comes with a 30mm driver along with a dedicated Extra Bass diaphragm and bass booster structure. The wireless accessory offers One-touch Bluetooth connection and also supports NFC.
The company claims it delivers up to 30 hours of playback time and can be recharged via USB. The specifications sheet also notes down a frequency response of 20Hz-20,000Hz, 24ohms impedance and 95dB/mW sensitivity. There’s an in-built mic for receiving calls.
Sony has said the adjustable swivel structure is optimised to enable deep bass playback while maintaining a stable fit that minimises vibration by bass notes. Dipped in red, black and blue colour options, the headphones are available via Sony Centers and at other major stores.
Meanwhile, Sony has also announced Android Marshmallow update for Xperia Z5, Z5 Premium and Z3 Plus. The update brings Android 6.0 Marshmallow, enhanced privacy settings with app data permissions, a new camera interface with simple gestures for customisation, Xperia Messaging, Smart battery life and Direct Share.
In another announcement, Sony has also revealed to official launch its virtual reality headset for PlayStation globally in October for $399. Andrew House, head of Sony’s gaming division, made the announcement during a press event at the Video Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, where virtual reality gaming counterpart Oculus Rift announced its headset a day earlier.
