Sony has announced next month’s line-up of free games for subscribers of its PlayStation Plus service. Headlining the Instant Game Collection in February will be Square Enix’s critically acclaimed Sleeping Dogs. Other games up for grabs will include F1 Race Stars by Codemasters, and Quantum Conundrum by ex-Portal developer Kim Swift. On the PlayStation Vita, subscribers can grab the sci-fi racing game WipEout 2048 and the tetris-meets-rhythm game Lumines: Electric Symphony.

Leaving the Instant Game Collection in February will be BioShock 2, Ratchet and Clank All 4 One, Cubixx HD, Jet Set Radio, and Pinball Arcade. The first three will make their exit on February 6, Cubixx will be gone on February 13, and Pinball Arcade on February 20.

Sleeping Dogs is an action-adventure title that takes you deep into the violent criminal underworld of vibrant, neon-lit Hong Kong. You assume the role of Wei Shen, an undercover cop looking to take down the Triads from the inside. You have to prove yourself worthy as you fight your way up the organisation, taking part in criminal activities without blowing your cover. Along the way, you face some moral dilemmas that make you question if you’re really a criminal or a cop.

Sleeping Dogs is like a Jackie Chan movie, but much more brutal

F1 Race Stars is a very cartoony take on the F1 racing genre. It has been praised for its robust multiplayer mode and the light-hearted art style.

Quantum Conundrum sends you on an inter-dimensional, problem-solving quest to rescue your mad-scientist uncle, who’s gone missing in his labyrinthine mansion. The professor’s latest invention, the Inter-Dimensional Shift Device (or ISD), proves quite useful in navigating the obstacles in each room–such as death lasers and pools of skin-melting “science juice.”

The headlining game for January was BioShock 2. Other games for the month included console MOBA game Guardians of Middle Earth, and the fighting game Mortal Kombat for the PlayStation 3. Games for the PlayStation Vita were Jet Set Radio and Pinball Arcade.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
