Sony launches Xperia X, Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA at MWC 2016

Sony has announced three new smartphones under its X series dubbed Xperia X, Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA. The devices will be available in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold colour variants.


Sony has announced  three new smartphones under its X series dubbed Xperia X, Xperia X Performance and Xperia XA. The devices will be available in White, Graphite Black, Lime Gold and Rose Gold colour variants.

In terms of specifications, the Sony Xperia X sports a 5-inch Full-HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It is powered by by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 3GB RAM. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the device comes equipped with a 23MP rear camera with f1/2.3 Exmor RS for mobile sensor, predictive hybrid autofocus, and pulse LED flash. One will also find a 13MP front-facing camera. The smartphone packs in an internal storage of 32GB which can be further expanded up to 200GB via microSD card. A 2620mAh battery completes the package.

Lastly, the Sony Xperia XA features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) display. It is powered by a MediaTek MT6755 processor paired with 2GB RAM. It includes an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 200GB via microSD card. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the smartphone features a 13MP rear camera along with an 8MP front facing camera. A 2300mAh battery completes the package.
