Sony launches new USB Type-C dual connection flash drive starting from Rs 1,999

Sony launches new USB Type-C dual connection flash drive starting from Rs 1,999

Since the adoption of the USB Type-C standard is slowly increasing among smartphones and laptops, Sony has introduced its all new USB Type-C flash drive. The new flash drive comes with a reversible port as well as a standard USB Type-A port that is compatible with the existing standard. It offers the latest USB 3.1 speed standard and provides a read speed of up to 130MBps for faster data transfer. The flash drive is compatible with all devices that come with the new Type-C port ranging from tablets, smartphones and PCs. It has a slim and compact body and a metal exterior and is supplied with a silicone cover with a useful strap hole, available in three capacities – 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. Prices start at Rs 1,999 for the 16GB variant while the 32GB and 64GB and cost Rs 4,099 and Rs 7,099 respectively. The flash drive will be available offline through the official Sony Centers and online through Amazon.in. Specs:

  • Interface: USB 3.1 Gen 1
  • Port Type: USB Type-C x 1, USB Type-A x 1
  • Transfer speed (read): Read Max 130MB/s, both USB Type-C and Type-A side
  • Weight: Approx. 5 g (main body only, without supplied Silicone Cover)
