Sony launches flagship Xperia Z3+ sporting Snapdragon 810, 20.7MP camera and more at Rs 55,990

Sony has launched its 2015 flagship phone, the Xperia Z3+ at an event in New Delhi today at a price of Rs 55,990.


Sony has launched its 2015 flagship phone, the Xperia Z3+ at an event in New Delhi today at a price of Rs 55,990. While in the past we have seen Sony launch two Xperia flagships in a year, this time around Sony has launched only one so far.

The Sony Xperia Z3+ houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC which has an octa-core processor along with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 430 graphics solution. The metallic frame around the Z3+ is slimmer than the Z3 and the phone is comparatively lighter. It comes with a 5.2-inch full HD display and has the adaptive display technology which lets the display show you a balanced image in bright outdoors.

The Xperia Z3+ comes with a single nanoSIM configuration and it supports 4G LTE. The phone has 32GB of storage by default and you can increase it using the microSD card slot. In terms of connectivity, the Sony Xperia Z3+ includes Bluetooth, Wi-Fi with hotspot, 3G, 4G LTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Glonass, Micro-USB, DLNA and NFC.

Just like its Xperia Z predecessors, the Z3+ comes with IP certifications for water and dust resistance. On the camera front, you get a 20.7MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a 5MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture. Along with the camera you get features such as intelligent auto modes, manual mode, fun with AR and so on.

The phone has a 2,930mAh battery and Sony claims that it bundles a charger which can charge your phone completely in 45 mins.

The phone will start selling from Friday in four colours including black, aqua green, copper and white variants.
