Sony could launch its flagship Xperia XZ Pro at MWC 2018; to feature 4K OLED display and more

Sony Xperia XZ Pro is expected to be powered by a 3420 mAh battery and bring IP68 waterproof rating on the smartphone.

Sony launched a few smartphones at CES 2018 but it is expected to launch its flagship devices for the year at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MCW) to start from 26 February.

According to a report on GizChina, the smartphone will be christened the Sony Xperia XZ Pro. The company will reportedly unveil the world's first smartphone with a 4K display and the Xperia XZ Pro could be that very phone.

Sony's next flagship is expected to come with 18 MP and 12 MP dual-camera sensors. It will also feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC. It is expected to come with a 5.7-inch 4K display, 6 GB RAM (lower variant) and a maximum internal storage of 128 GB.

Sony unveiled two devices in the Sony Xperia series, Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra at the CES 2018. It also launched Sony L2 at the event. The Sony Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC. The XA1 will pack a 5.2-inch FHD screen while the XA2 Ultra will come with a 6-inch FHD display. The Sony L2, a low-end device, will feature a 5.5-inch HD display. The price tags of the smartphones were not revealed by the company.

The devices launched at the CES 2018 were for the US market.
