Sony seems to be on a roll. After announcing the **Xperia Z1 Compact** and Z1s at the CES 2014, the company is back with two more Android phones. It adds the 6-inch Xperia T2 Ultra and 4-inch Xperia E1 to its lineup. Interestingly, Sony is targetting emerging markets with both phones and neither have high-end specs. Both are dual-SIM phones, increasing their chances of being launched in India. The T2 Ultra features a 6-inch 720p Triluminos display, and is based on the **Xperia T** .

Expect relatively better picture quality as compared to the Xperia T. It has a sleek profile of 7.6mm, despite the huge display. On the camera front, one will find a 13MP shooter on the back. Its 8GB onboard storage can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot. All of this will be fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery.   Under the hood, it comes powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor (specific chipset not mentioned). The company will roll out LTE variant of the device, along with HSPA-only variants for regions that don’t have 4G connectivity.   As the device is being positioned as a budget device for emerging markets, it won’t get Sony’s entire app suite that is found on the Z1s. The phone will, however, support Background defocus, Sweep Panorama, Collage, Timeshift burst and the selfie-friendly Portrait Retouch. The smartphone sports a 4-inch 800 x 480 display and comes powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 512MB RAM. The highlight of the device is said to be the100Db speaker, which means users can blast music over other loud noises. The company has also packed in its ClearAudio+ and xLoud to spruce up the audio quality. The E1 also gets a dedicated key for Sony’s Walkman application, along with support for shake-to-shuffle play controls. It also includes a 30-day trial for Sony’s Music Unlimited catalog.   There is no word on the pricing and availability of both Xperia T2 Ultra and Xperia E1. Considering the sudden rush in the mid-range segment of the Indian market – with the likes of Galaxy Grand 2, Gionee Elife E7 and **Moto G** – we expect both devices to reach the Indian terrain whenever they are launched.
