The company has started sending emails to Snapdeal customers and claimed that the home delivery of SIM cards is a ’token of gratitude’. To avail this offer the users need to follow this link and register contact details and address of the locality. The registration further allows the users to select the time slot of the delivery of the SIM along with the acknowledgement of a valid local Aadhar Card. After the registration is done, you will get an SMS confirming the registration on the mobile number that you entered in the registration form along with the details of the time slot. A Jio representative will arrive at your home during the timeslot that you specified during the registration to deliver and activate your new Jio SIM. This comes right at the time when Reliance is trying to ensure that the ‘Happy New Year’ offer presented by Mukesh Ambani remain free until 31 March 2017 despite pressure from rival telecom operators. Disclaimer: Reliance Jio is owned by Reliance Industries, who also own Network18, the publisher of Firstpost and tech2.
