This prototype belt showcased at the CES 2015 may not be the most stylish, but it’s definitely got the smarts to be the most useful belt you could find. Belty is an electronic belt that readjusts itself whenever there’s a change in your waistline. Developed by Emiota, it expands and contracts automatically. It’s also a fitness tracker that can measure steps taken and sends your health stats to your smartphone through an app.

MeloMind headset

The Melomind headset has embedded sensors that measure brain activity to find out if you are stressed. Based on the data it gets, it plays custom-created music tones to help you relax. The headset connects to the Android, iOS or Windows Phone app to play the music.

Tao chair

The Tao Chair is a perfect body workout solution for the lazy. Marketed as the ‘invisible gym in your living room’, this electronic chair helps you burn calories while you sit. The Tao Chair works out different muscle groups all over your body and lets you intensify workouts through a connected smartphone app. There’s a display that shows how many calories you’ve burned, reminds you how much you’ve achieved and dares you to do more.

The Parrot Pot

Apart from smartphones, smartwatches and smart homes, the CES 2015 also showcased a smart pot – called Parrot Pot. Unlike ordinary plant pots, the Parrot Pot has a smart irrigation system that waters your plant precisely when it needs it, using exactly the right amount of water every time. The company claims that the Parrot Pot will adapt to the plant’s natural life-cycle as it grows.

The Baby Glgl, pronounced as “glug glug”, is a smart feeding bottle that can tell if you are feeding a baby in the correct position. If the bottle is improperly positioned, the lights at the bottom will flash red. When angled correctly, the lights turn green.
