Skoda Octavia vRS is heading to India, to cost Rs 5 lakh more than top-end trim of Octavia facelift

If you are a fan of the Octavia RS series, then we have some good news for you. Skoda is speculated to get the Octavia vRS to India. The Czech car maker will first launch the new facelift version of the Octavia by the end of June followed by the vRS.

According to DriveSpark, the performance version of the Octavia with the vRS badge is expected to be priced Rs 5 lakh over the top-spec petrol model of the new sedan. The Skoda Octavia vRS is also expected to arrive as a limited edition with only a few number of units expected to sell in India. The limited edition Octavia vRS features a turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine that can produce 227 bhp and 350 Nm of torque and features a 6-speed transmission. It can go from 0-100 kmph in just 6.7 seconds and can hit up to 250 kmph.

The new vRS will come with the same design as the facelifted Octavia including the spilt headlights. Of course the vRS model will differentiate itself from the regular version as it will have some extra details. This includes lowered ride height, larger 18-inch alloy wheels and a wider rear track. It is also expected to get a new exhaust system with flaps in the valves which open up to make the engine roar.
