Silicon Power launches super mini USB flash drive

Silicon Power has launched their new miniature sized Touch T01 flash drive in the Indian market.  The overall dimension of the drive has been reduced by 30 percent from previous products and only 10 mm of its length stays visible when connected to the USB port. The product features include a lid-less design with a metallic exterior and durability of a minimum of 10,000 insertions. Obviously, it’s a passive device since it’s a flash drive and no external power supply is required. The flash drive comes with the SP widget software that has seven back-up and security functions as well as a 60 day free trial of Norton AntiVirus 2011. 

The Touch T01

As can be seen from the image, the flash drive does have a simple, yet stylish look and it’s extremely small, so you’ll be able to put it into your laptop or tablet PC without actually requiring additional space. The Touch T01 flash drive comes in three variations depending upon capacity – 4GB, 8GB and 16GB. The drives utilize COB (Chip On Board) packaging technology, and are dust-proof, vibration-proof and waterproof. All the Silicon Power USB flash drives are made to meet the stringent EU RoHS standards, and offer a lifetime warranty. The 4GB one is priced at Rs.459, the 8GB at Rs.749 and the 16GB costs Rs.1,249. The products are available across major retail outlets.
