November 2011 is going to be relentless for gamers with some of the biggest games in the industry today gearing up their games for the pre-holiday season. When the competition is this intense it’s only natural that some of the smaller players get cold feet and while Konami certainly is no small name, they’ve decided to postpone Silent Hill Downpour to 2012, according to MCV.com .
So I just uhh go home now?
Although Konami has yet to release an official statement, rumours are swirling around the net that they’ve decided to take the game back to the workshop for some more fine tuning. Either that or they don’t want to compete with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Uncharted 3, Skyrim or Saints Row 3. Whichever way you look at it, I think it was wise of them to push it back by a few months because let’s face it, the Silent Hill name isn’t what it used to be. We’re not sure if this delay affects the HD remake that was announced at E3 2011 but we’ll keep you posted.
Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now.
