Dr Tharoor is the latest to join the long list of public figures who have appeared on the popular platform. His session tomorrow will be moderated by senior journalist Sonia Singh. Those interested can view the session on the Google India+ Page at google.com/+GoogleIndia. Alternatively, they can subscribe to the InConversation YouTube Channel. Those interested can participate and post their questions for Dr Tharoor by adding #tharoorhangout to their comments and questions.

Naman Pugalia, Public Policy & Government Affairs Analyst, writes in the post, “Google+ is all about creating a better experience across Google, and provides a powerful communications platform for users. Since its launch in July 2011, the Google+ community has grown rapidly with more than 500 million users worldwide. Google+ Hangouts allow up to 10 people participating at a point of time to join the hangout. You can later share the hangout on YouTube or live stream it using Hangouts on Air.”
Over the months, the platform is being increasingly used by public figures and politicians to engage directly with netizens. Recently, the nation’s Finance minister P. Chidambaram was on Hangouts to respond to queries about the budget. The Union Minister for Road Transport for Highways (MoRTH), Dr CP Joshi too featured on Hangouts to take suggestions for highway safety from netizens.
