BitTorrent has announced that its fairly new BitTorrent Sync Beta service is now available for iOS devices. Using the app from the makers of uTorrent, you will be able to sync data freely between your iPhones and iPads now.
Once downloaded from the App Store, BitTorrent Sync will make moving big files between devices a cinch. You can even use the app to remotely backup photos and data from your iPhone to your PC and from your laptops to your iPads. The best bit about this service is that it is not only free to use and download but does not have a size cap to restrict your sharing.

“Sync started from a simple concept: your data belongs to you, no matter where you are. This means you should be able to pick up your work on any device, or send your photos across the world, and back,” wrote BitTorrent’s Kos announcing the iOS app. The post goes on to explain that in a bid to keep your data secure, BitTorrent Sync skips the cloud and does not rely on servers in order to deliver files in a fast, safe manner.
The app has been localised to cater to customers using BitTorrent Sync in a ten languages including German, French, Russian, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) and Japanese.
The service was launched back in April this year and was already seeing 1 petabyte of data shared on the service, a fortnight after its launch. The Android version of the application was launched last month and is still in beta. The service still has a bit of work to do on both platforms before it becomes seamless. You can grab hold of BitTorrent Sync Beta for iOS on your iPhones and iPads from the App Store.
