Sennheiser has introduced a lightweight, in-ear, around the neck Bluetooth headphone at CES 2018. The Sennheiser CX 6.00BT headphone weighs 14 g and comes with Bluetooth 4.2. It is priced at $99.95 and is currently available for the US.
The bluetooth headphones come with ear-canal earbuds joined by a cable that can be worn around the neck. Sennheiser claims that the CX 6.00BT 'delivers clear, detailed sound with an enhanced bass response', all marketing terms till we test them. It features Qualcomm apt-X codec which is meant to bring consistent, high-quality audio over Bluetooth and can be connected to two devices simultaneously.
The Sennheiser CX 6.00BT has a noise cancelling technology microphone and three buttons to control volume and calls. It also provides voice prompts that informs the user about the battery status.
The headphone battery lasts for six hours and can be charged using the USB cable. Fast charging helps it get charged for providing two hours of usage in ten minutes. It can be fully charged to provide six hours of usage in 1.5 hours. The headphone also supports 3-way calling.
The Sennheiser CX 6.00BT will be available from January 2018 for $99.95.
