It’s finally here - the Seagate Cheetah 15K.5, full of perpendicular goodness with 300 GB space and a mad 15,000 rpm speed that supposedly offers around 30% better performance - around 73-125 MB/s of sustained transfer rate, provided you’ve got SCSI, Ultra320 SCSI or fibre channel interfaces. There are no prices out yet, but the drives should be in the market around June in 300 GB, 147 GB and 73 GB capacities.
