Sometimes, data is lost or destroyed in the processes of moving it between devices or operating systems. In such a scenario, a portable hard drive could come handy for making back ups of your data. The official statement claims that this external hard drive from Seagate makes the task of backing up and migrating important data and content simple.

Seagate Backup Plus hard drives feature the Seagate Dashboard backup software, which is useful for performing back up. Once you have performed the upgrade to Windows 8 or purchased a new computer, Backup Plus is ready to be put to work on your new system with all of your files. Additionally, after migrating your files, Seagate Backup Plus drives can also be set up using the new Windows 8 backup feature, File History.

Available through several retailers and resellers in India, Seagate Backup Plus drives are available in capacities of 500GB, 750GB and 1TB capacities for portable drives and 1TB to 4TB for Backup Plus Desktop drives.

This family of external storage is available in red, blue, silver, and black in the portable 2.5-inch form factor. The manufacturer’s suggested retail prices by capacity are: 500GB (Rs 5,600) and 1TB (Rs 7,700). The Backup Plus Desk 3.5-inch drive 2TB is priced at Rs 8,500, and the 3TB version at Rs 12,000 MSRP.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
