AMD-ATI recently launched the X1950 Pro 256 MB internationally. The card is a direct competitor to Nvidia’s mid-segment card, the 7900 GS. We now have its Indian street price. The X1950 pro 256 MB card from Sapphire is currently selling for Rs 13,900. This also marks Sapphire’s presence in the Indian market, a brand which was long missing.
The X1950 Pro scores above the 7900GS in almost all game benchmarks and even in 3DMark 2006 besides it has CrossFire and HDCP support. The 7900GS selling for around Rs 12,000, was the king of the mid-segment, but with the X1950 pro coming in, the equation has changed.
