Sapphire Releases Two AGP Cards

Demonstrating continued support for the upgrade and retrofit markets using the industry standard AGP bus, Sapphire Technology is now shipping AGP versions of its latest series of midrange and mainstream graphics accelerators, the X1650 PRO and X1300XT.

The X1650 Pro AGP has 12 pixel shaders. The graphics core is clocked at 590 MHz and the memory at 690 MHz Its equipped with 256MB of GDDR3 memory connected via a 128-bit memory bus. Other features include dual-link DVI and TV-Out.

The X1300XT AGP comes in two variants. The first one comes with 256 MB of GDDR3 and the other with 512 MB of GDDR2 memory. The 256 MB variant is clocked at 500 MHz while the 512 MB model is clocked at 400 MHz As with the X1650 Pro the X1300XT has 12 pixel shaders. Features such as dual link DVI and T-out are also available.

Pricing isn’t out as yet but the estimate is that the X1650 PRO AGP should cost lesser than 150$ and the X1300XT AGP lesser than 100$.
