It is no secret that Samsung is working on Oculus Rift-like VR headsets for its Galaxy devices. Now, a new report by TheVerge doesn’t just give us a glimpse of the wearable but also states that Samsung may unveil it at the upcoming IFA event in early September.

The image shows the VR headset codenamed ‘Project Moonlight’ next to a Samsung smartphone and a Bluetooth controller. “It appears to be a bit like Google’s Cardboard, a box with lenses that can effectively turn a smartphone display into an immersive world,” adds the report.

The Project Moonlight is likely to come with a focus dial and will probably use a microUSB connection to the smartphone. Though the image shows the wearable alongside the Galaxy S5, it is expected to work in conjunction with the Note 4, considering the new phablet is slated for a launch at IFA.

While Apple is believed to launch the iPhone 6 on  September 9 , Samsung, remaining true to its mantra of pipping Apple to the post, has already begun sending out invites for its next Unpacked event to be held on September 3. The company is widely expected to unveil the highly anticipated Galaxy Note 4, and now we can also expect it to unveil the VR headset.
