If the leaks turn out to be true, Samsung may actually package a new Gear VR headset along with Galaxy S7 pre-orders. The news comes from the Netherlands from Android World , which claims that Samsung will offer free Gear VR headsets for customers who pre-order its flagship Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones at a pre-MWC event on 21 February. Keeping this detail in mind, the news coming from the new leaks seems to make plenty of sense. According to the same website, Samsung will place the flagship Galaxy S7 smartphones on pre-order from 21 February till 10 March. The shipping for the same orders however, will begin only after 11 March. The Gear VR was recently launched in India and is priced at Rs 8,200 so packaging one with a pricey Samsung Galaxy S7 that is supposed to play well with VR should make for an attractive deal indeed. Among the rumours, Samsung is also expected to announce a Gear 360 virtual reality camera as well. The Gear 360, likely an offshoot of Samsung’s Project Beyond, is a compact spherical camera capable of capturing 360 degree imagery using two 180 degree fisheye lenses. As of now, it is likely that the device will be compatible with the Galaxy S7. The Samsung Galaxy S7 is expected to be priced at approximately Rs 50,500, while the Galaxy S7 edge is expected cost around Rs 60,000.
