Samsung to launch 'Next Galaxy S', India can only watch

It’s been touted as the rival to Apple’s popular iPhone 4S, rumored to be the official device for 2012 London Olympics, and the day of it’s launch is finally here.

The ‘Next Galaxy S’ smartphone will be launched in London at 1900 hours GMT, which is around midnight for India. Samsung had sent out official invites for the launch, which contained just globs of blue and white. Then Samsung had launched a new teaser website with a countdown for the phone.Fans had to guess the name of the website after Samsung tweeted out a cryptic tweet with the word “tgeltaayehxnx” which was anagram for the word “thenextgalaxy”.

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

Unfortunately for India however, the phone will not be released here. Samsung confirmed the bad news on its official Twitter feed. ( Read more about it here )

According the rumour mills the next Samsung Galaxy S will come with 4.6-inch Super AMOLED plus display, a quad-core Exynos chipset, which is believed to be manufactured by Samsung and a possible ceramic finish. The phone is also rumored to contain a 12-megapixel camera, with 2GB RAM which would make it a pretty powerful smartphone.

Samsung had also launched a damned vague trailer on YouTube for the phone which really shows nothing, when it comes to the actual device other than saying that the phone will help users stand out from the rest. The rest, according to the video, were sheep. So are Apple users sheep according to Samsung?

The sheep joke aside, there’s no doubt that Samsung’s new phone is something die-hard Galaxy, Android fans will be waiting to pick up.
