In a country like ours with dust, grime and of course for a few months of the year a whole lot of wet, a handset that can stand up to these elements is definitely going to do well and Samsung seems like just the guys to bring it. One of their latest offerings is the GT-B2700 candybar handset that can reportedly resist water and dust. This could be the upgrade to their earlier M110 handset.
Of course that’s not all it does. Its other features include a 1.9-inch TFT display with a 176 x 220 pixel resolution, an integrated FM radio music player and support for external memory via microSD cards (30MB internal memory). Reports also state that the B2700 will also have a built-in compass and altimeter. With connectivity in mind, Samsung has the B2700 supporting EDGE / GPRS and WAP and Bluetooth v2.0. So it’s quite a loaded handset for all terrains.
The handset would be priced at approximately Rs. 14, 230 ($330) but there’s no official release date yet. A site called Mobile Czech seems to have the only image.
