Fitness and health-related products have suddenly taken the centre stage in tech domain. Triggered by **Apple’s iWatch** , manufacturers like Samsung, **LG** , **Acer** and others have begun focusing their energies at building a fitness-related mobile device, supplemented by an app. Now, Samsung has started sending out invites to international media for a ‘health-related’ event to be held in San Francisco on May 28, reports Engadget. The invite reportedly reads, “new conversation around heath.” As Samsung recently launched the Gear 2 and **Gear Fit** , the company will most likely not launch a new product. However, the company is speculated to showcase its forthcoming sensors and components for heath products, as the invite comes from the Semiconductor arm of Samsung. It should be noted that the Samsung’s hosting the heath event just a few days before **Apple’s WWDC** . Apple is expected to pull the wraps off its iOS 8 at the event, and also give a sneak peep into the highly anticipated Healthbook app. So far, Samsung hasn’t been able to attract users towards it fitness bands. On the other hand, Apple’s **Heathbook** looks very promising, if the leaks are to be believed. The Heathbook app will work in conjunction with the iWatch, and is believed to go well beyond the usual fitness tracking features. It will serve as the hub for all things health-related. One can expect cards for blood work, heart rate, hydration, blood pressure, physical activity, nutrition, blood sugar, sleep, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and weight.
