Other features include a 13 MP rear camera with an f/1.9 aperture and LED flash, an 8 MP front camera with an f/1.9 aperture, expandable storage via microSD slot which accepts cards of up to 256 GB in capacity. There’s Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button and a 3,300 mAH battery. In the connectivity department the phone offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.1, microUSB with OTG, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The J5 Prime is a smaller version of the J7 prime and features a more nimble quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, expandable storage, a 5-inch 720p display with a similar curved Gorilla Glass and a smaller 2,400 mAH battery. Samsung has focused on battery and security with the two new phones. Both the smartphones offer Samsung’s S-Power Planning which comes with three features including reserve battery for calls, extended battery time and forward calls when no battery. In terms of the security aspect, the S-Secure again offers three features, lock/hide apps, secure folder and secure Wi-Fi. The phones also feature the previously announced S-Bike mode. The new 32 GB J5 Prime is priced at Rs 14,900 while the J7 Prime will retail at Rs 16,900.
