Samsung is at it again, and this time, instead of just increasing the camera megapixel count two-fold, they’ve addressed a different (and a lot more lucrative) audience: handheld gamers. Their latest SPH-B3200 slider has an on-board 3D accelerator that’s purportedly capable of processing about 3 million polygons per second - imagine better than PlayStation One (max 1.5 million) quality on your phone. Now we’re getting somewhere! The SPH-B3200 also has Satellite DMB (S-DMB) for watching digital TV broadcasts when mobile. In last week’s Tech Show, we ran a feature on DVB-H and DMB, which is coming to India soon. Samsung should really consider getting this phone here - imagine playing Need for Speed while on your way to college while the girl next to you is watching repeats of Saas Bahu. Better pump up the volume. Other features of the SPH-B3200 include a 240x320, 262k color TFT, 2 megapixel camera with flash and a MicroSD card slot. Bluetooth is supported and is also used to create an ad-hoc network for multiplayer gaming. The phone can also be connected to the TV via its TV-out cable so you can play PSOne-quality games on your TV! As usual it’s too early for a price or availability info, but we’ll grab it first when it hits here.
