Samsung is reportedly going to unveil a new smartphone on March 31 and it’s rumoured to be the Galaxy J5. A report by GSM Arena has pointed out that Samsung is hyping up a motorcycle-themed event for India in three days and the event is tagged #TapKickVroom and “will change the way you ride.” Three winners will win a prize which is said to be a “newly launched smartphone” by Samsung. Users need to guess what exactly #TapKickVroom is and will have to tweet their guesses to @SamungMobileIN to enter the contest. The contest is only valid till 6pm on 30 March. One can also write to them on Samsung Mobile India’s Facebook page. However, a report by SammyHub pointed out that this new device will have a feature called Bike Mode which will apparently make it easier for bikers to concentrate on riding instead of getting disturbed by incoming calls and notifications (And taking selfies?). Turning the mode on will mute all calls and notify the caller to reach the user after some time.
Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor is seen as a part of the promotion as well. Last year, the actor was promoting the company’s affordable, Galaxy J series line-up. Therefore, it wouldn’t be much of a stretch to assume that the company is planning to launch a new J series device.
