Samsung releases video showing why they will never face a Bendgate

Last month, Apple’s plush and latest iPhones faced their first design flaw, now popular as #Bendgate. A sort of frenzy began as several people including rivals like LG and Samsung took a dig at the company. Apparently, large phones from other leading brands including Samsung and LG bend too. Following the bendy iPhone 6 Plus video, another video that tests the bendability of the HTC One M8, Nokia Lumia, iPhone 5s and the newest Moto X had gone viral on the Internet too.

Now, Samsung has disclosed how its devices are a lot tougher and won’t bend. The company has released a video showing its phones being put through a stress test and emphasizes on how its Note 4 is extremely durable. “The Note 4’s subjected to a three-point bend test that pushes a metal with 25 kilograms of force to the middle of the device – you can even see the phone bend just a little during the process in the video after the break,” points out Engadget .

Apart from the three point bend test, the video also shows a human weight test. It shows a robotic buttock of a 100Kg man repeatedly sitting on the Note 4. The company owes this durability to the metal frame, magnesium bracket and mutually reinforcing structure between parts, the company claimed.

Claiming it has received only nine complaints and going against the grain, Apple had invited some media persons to visit its test centers and see the durability of the iPhone 6 phones for themselves. It should be noted that Apple sold 10 million iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus units in three days. However, the dust on the bendgate issues had barely settled and the company is now facing #hairgate problem, wherein the iPhone 6 is accused of ripping off hair. We wonder if Samsung has started working on a video showing how its Note 4 won’t make you bald.
