Samsung Planning to Launch a 4G Tablet this Year

Samsung’s Galaxy S II did not take too long to make it to India and it seems the company is not going to stop there. Samsung is planning to add to their already existing range of Galaxy Tab tablets and bring out another Android-based tablet, but this one will be 4G enabled.

According to WallStreetJournal , Samsung’s President, J. K. Shin has been quoted saying that the race for 4G has already started and that, “4G transition is inevitable, particularly for tablets, because it requires faster download speeds than smartphones to handle bigger-volume content.” As much as we know it, the 10.1 version of the Galaxy Tab is supposed to have more features (apart from the obvious bigger screen) and while the 8.9 inch version has been priced at $499, the 10.1-incher will cost $599. Both will be running on the Android for tablets aka Honeycomb and sporting a faster processor and a 2 megapixel front facing camera.
