Samsung launches W2016 dual-display Android flip phone in China

There’s no surprise that Samsung has been working on a flip phone as it was certified by TENAA last week itself. The latest smartphone, called the Samsung W2016 is now listed on Samsung’s China website. However, no information has been provided regarding price or availability. The smartphone will be offered in Grey and Gold variants. In terms of specifications, the smartphone features two 3.9-inch displays with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution, one on the inside while the second one is seen on the outside. The device is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 processor paired with 3GB RAM. The Samsung W2016 offers an inbuilt storage of 64GB and no microSD card has been provided with the device. The new smartphone runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and comes equipped with a 16MP rear camera along with a 5MP front facing camera. The device is built with metal as well as with glass and is apparently 15.1 mm thick while being 204 grams in weight. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone includes 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, GLONASS, and microUSB. A 2000mAh battery completes the package. The listing also states that the device will offer fast-charging which can charge the device up to 50 percent in just 30 minutes of charging.
