Samsung has launched its new Galaxy Tab 3 range in India. There are two variants of the tablet, the 7-inch and the 8-inch version.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 211 7.o starts at Rs 17,745 for the 3G version, while the Galaxy Tab 3 311 8.0 is available from Rs 25,725 for the 3G version. The WiFi only version of the Tab 3 8-inch is priced at Rs 21, 945
The Tab 3 7.0 has a 7-inch display, but the screen resolution is a low WSVGA one (with a resolution of 1024 x 600), which is disappointing given a resolution of 1080 is seen as a standard for tablets now. It has 1.2GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM and runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
It features a 3 megapixel rear camera and a 1.9 megapixel camera on the front. Besides Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the tablet has 3G support for voice and data. The tablet comes with 8GB and 16GB versions and you can expand it to 32GB via microSD.
The Tab 3 8.0 has an eight-inch screen with a 1280x800 screen resolution, runs Android 4.2 version of Jelly Bean and has a 1.5GHz dual-core processor with 1.5 GB of RAM.
The device has a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front camera. It is available in 32GB and 64GB variants, and there is also an option to expand storage by up to 64GB via microSD card.
