Samsung is likely to reveal Bixby 2.0 at its San Francisco Developer Conference on 18 October

South Korean electronics and smartphone maker Samsung is expected to release an improved version of Bixby. The improved version of the AI-powered digital assistant is likely to be known as  Bixby 2.0 and it will be launched at San Francisco Developer Conference. The event is scheduled to take place on 18 October. [caption id=“attachment_3962293” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]  Samsung Bixby[/caption] According to a report by The Korea Herald, the company is aiming to improve the digital assistant considering the dry response it received at its launch with Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ earlier this year. The report also states that Bixby 2.0 may integrate with the third party services, as well as other devices. This report comes right after the company appointed Samsung Research America’s chief Chung Eui-Suk to improve Bixby as reported to the Financial Times. Korean Herald reports that the Suk’s previous experience includes working with Ericsson. According to the report, Samsung’s mobile business chief Koh Dong-jin admitting to Bixby’s lacklustre response said, “We will supplement the incomplete parts of Bixby 1.0 at Bixby 2.0.” One thing to note here is that  **Bixby**  was first introduced on the Note 8 on September 30 for Indian users. It was later introduced to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
